About Gaafaa Bookkeeping

Built on a decade of nonprofit accounting expertise and a commitment to financial clarity.

Meet the Founder

Abdullahi Yusuf

I started Gaafaa Bookkeeping because I saw too many organizations — nonprofits, restaurants, contractors, and small businesses — struggling with books that weren't giving them the clarity they needed to make good decisions.

With over 10 years of experience in nonprofit accounting, I've managed budgets exceeding $18 million, overseen 26+ grant-funded programs, and delivered nine consecutive clean audits. I've worked at every level — from processing payroll and reconciling bank accounts to leading audit engagements and presenting financials to boards.

That hands-on experience means I understand what clean books actually look like at every stage, and I know how to get them there efficiently.
